DOCSDF is an International Documentary Film Festival that aspires to the best quality programming and the largest international projection. A meeting point where documentary fans, filmmakers and producers gather together with a possibility to place Mexico City at the vanguard of the emerging International Documentary scene. A space for sharing experiences, ideas and projects, with established documentary filmmakers and producers, genre scholars and new emerging talents from all over the world. Professionals, students, schools, institutions, TV stations and production companies are encouraged to participate.

Each participant will be able to submit one or more documentaries, for competition at one of the following categories:
  • DOCSDF award for Best Documentary.
  • DOCSDF award for Best Latin American Documentary.
  • José Rovirosa Award, given by the Filmoteca de la UNAM to the Best Mexican Documentary.
  • La Red award for Best Television Documentary.
  • DOCSDF award to Best Documentary Short Film.
