Synopsis:

Malcolm and Barbara have two sons and shared careers in music at Cambridge University. At the age of 51, Malcolm was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease. A love story as the title suggests, the film follows them over a four-year period as Barbara becomes his primary carer, dealing with the violent mood swings and the physical and emotional demands of his condition, accompanied by Malcolm's own piano music.
