The events section lists documentary-related events happening all over the world.

You can filter the listings to cover as much or as little as you want.

For instance, if you're an international doc-freak, then you can keep it on its default display, which is every kind of event happening all over the world from today onwards.

Alternatively, you can use the options on the right hand side of the page to select exactly what you want.

Let's say you're interested in Screenings and Festival Events in North America in June.
  1. Using the arrows on the top bar of the calendar, click right until the calendar says June. You'll now be seeing upcoming events in that month.
  2. Next go to categories and un-tick every category except Screenings and Festival Events.
  3. Click Update.
  4. Lastly, go down to Region and click the little circle next to North America. The display will now update with exactly the information you want to see.
If you want to be really clever and/or specific, you can select to narrow your view down to a certain country - e.g. Canada or the U.S.

  • You can also display 'All Items' or 'All Future Items' which will show you all events in the categories and regions you picked. These options are above the calendar.
  • You can view events by week by clicking on the little arrows to the left of each week.
  • You can view events by day by clicking on the individual day. 
  • If you are a Mac user then you can subscribe to the DFGdocs Events Calendar using iCal by following the link at the bottom of the Events filters. Lucky you!
  • If you are a PC user you'll have to download a piece of free software called Sunbird before you can subscribe to the Calendar. See the events page for more details.

Got the lowdown on an event and DFGdocs doesn't list it?

Shocking we know, but sometimes we miss out on events. Fear not, however - you can always tell us about something that's going down and then everyone gets to benefit from your insider knowledge.

Simply click the 'Submit Event' button above the Event Listings, which will take you to a form on a separate page.

Fill in the details of your event. If the venue isn't listed, then include this information in the Summary so that we can add it to our database.

Lastly, click OK. We'll upload your event just as soon as we can.
