State of the World to premiere at Director’s Fortnight
State of the World to premiere at Director’s Fortnight
State of the World
, produced by Luis Correia (LxFilmes) and Noe Mendelle (Scottish Documentary Institute) is one of the 23 feature films selected for this year’s Director’s Fortnight at Cannes. State of the World is a collection of six directors, six regards on the state of the world. Their cross-over creates a new space for a dynamic, radical, inquisitive reflection, a space to defy the future. The world premiere will take place on Thursday 24 May 2007, 5pm.
Directors’ Fortnight programs a selection of films from around the world during the Cannes Film Festival. It is distinguished by the independent judgment displayed in the choice of films, the “cinéphile” standards and the accessibility to non-professional audiences at the festival.
