FIGRA seeks submission from new directors

FIGRA - International Current affairs and social documentary Film Festival. The 15th edition of FIGRA Le Touquet,  will be held from 26th to 30th of March 2008, in le Touquet Paris Plage.

For the past three years, the festival has organised a “Coup de pouce” for the young directors of documentary films. This year the festival would like to propose to young directors, who already realised a first film to promote their second film. The festival will edit a catalogue to present those projects to producers and to commissioning editors who takes part to the FIGRA. Then a jury will give an award to the film project they think good to be realised.  

The festival is currently seeking applications from directors who have made a first film and are in development on a second.

Entry criteria:
The project must be a project of Current Affairs and/or Social Documentary. There is no criteria concerning the film aspect or concerning director’s age.   
  • send the DVD of the First Film by post
  • send the filled entry form
  • subtitle films in a foreign language into French
The deadline for applications is 31st December 2007.
