Channel 4 launches a new opportunity for deaf and disabled filmmakers
Channel 4 launches a new opportunity for deaf and disabled filmmakers
4 Real is a new Channel 4 series which gives deaf and disabled directors an opportunity to get their first major broadcast credit. They are looking for twelve directors with recent television or film-making experience to bring their ideas for strong, compelling stories which will appeal to a Channel 4 audience.
The choice of subject is wide open. What's important is that the films are fresh and original with a broad, popular appeal. The successful projects will be developed into a 30-minute documentary.
Applicants must have some experience, either in broadcast or as a filmmaker, whether as an AP or researcher, or making non-broadcast films.
Closing date for applications: Monday October 9th 2006
Full details and an application form can be found at
http://www.mavericktv.co.uk/4real
.
Preferably, completed application forms should be submitted by email to 4real[at]mavericktv[dot]co[dot]uk
However, if this is not possible, you may also post them to: 4 Real, Maverick Television/Resource Base, 40 Churchway, London, NW1 1LW
Please note:
guidelines and application forms can be sent out in large print or Braille if required.
