Call for Submissions - Dialektus Festival

The Dialektus Festival, Budapest, Hungary is looking for anthropological films to enter their international competition for the festival 2007 festival next April.

The Dialektus Festival was created in order to show the world's cultural diversity and to present the manner in which European filmmakers see the real world.The Festival operated as a national festival in 2002 and 2004 an will be an international festival for the first time in 2007.

They are looking for films that are not part of mainstream commercial filmmaking and have some kind of “anthropological” component.

You may submit films into one of the following categories:
- International Competition Programme
- Young Filmmakers' Competition (European directors under the age of 25)
 
ENTRY DEADLINE: 20th October 2006.

The Dialektus Festival is planning to show 25 hours of films in the competition as well as a further 25 hours of information films over the 4 days.

There will be a moderated debate held every evening covering the films shown that day with the participation of the directors concerned.

There will also be workshops that will take a look at European, documentary film distribution as well as opportunities for selling Hungarian films outside the country.
