Call for Entry - IDFA FORUM

The 15th edition of the FORUM for Co-financing documentaries will take place from 26-28 November. This year the FORUM will be open to projects in all phases of production. Therefore the format will change. Besides the regular central pitches a limited number of seedling projects and rough cut projects will be accepted.

Entry Guidelines
This year we also accept projects that do not have the minimum of 25% of the financing in place. Besides these seedling projects we will accept several rough cut projects. Producers and directors will pitch these projects in pre-arranged one-on-one meetings with commissioning editors and/or to a small group of commissioning editors and other financiers.
See also our Entry Guidelines 2007.

Cross Media
The FORUM also intends to become a platform for cross media documentary projects. To this end, the FORUM will organise labs to give participants the chance to work with various experts on the development of cross media projects. Like the seedling projects and the rough cuts, these projects will be pitched to financiers in pre-arranged one-on-one meetings.

New Festival Locations
This year, IDFA is relocating the entire festival to a number of new venues in the historic centre of Amsterdam. Just like before, all festival locations will be within walking distance of each other.
