Call For Entries - Scottish Mental Health Arts & Film Festival 2008

The Scottish Mental Health Arts & Film Festival is the national arts festival in Scotland which explores mental health. It has its base in Glasgow, with events taking place all over Scotland between the 1st and 19th of October 2008. The festival brings together a wide range of mental health organisations, arts organisations, community groups and artists, embracing approaches including film, visual art, drama, literature, music and comedy.

The core purpose of the film festival is to raise awareness and tackle the stigma and discrimination related to mental health issues, and to promote an understanding of an individual’s rights and recovery. The festival welcomes submissions that address these issues directly and explore them in a broader context, films which help us to understand your perspective on mental health and which challenge existing and inspire new understandings of the issues involved.

The deadline for submissions is 29th August 2008.
