Birds Eye View Film Festival - Call For Entries

Birds Eye View, the UK's only festival to celebrate the work of women filmmakers, is seeking submissions for its 2007 festival. The event will open with a special gala event on International Women's Day - 8th March - and will continue with screening programmes of shorts, features, documentaries as well as special events, panels and parties. All events will be held at leading London film venues the National Film Theatre and the Institute of Contemporary Arts.

Awards will be presented to Best Short Drama, Best Short Animation and a special Award for Innovation. There will also be a jury award for Best Film and an Audience Award.

Documentaries can be of any length, although the length will affect your submission fee. For details, see the submission details here on DFGdocs.

All films must be directed or co-directed by a woman and must not have been broadcast on UK terrestrial television.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 17th November 2006, and films should be submitted on DVD or VHS (PAL).
