Vail

3rd - 6th April 2008

Founded by actors, filmmakers, and dedicated film enthusiasts, and in close partnership with the Town of Vail and Vail Resorts, the Vail Film Festival promotes independent filmmaking, with a special focus on new and innovative filmmakers. Besides screenings, the festival will also feature workshops, seminars and panel discussions with award-winning actors, writers and directors.  An awards ceremony, family festivities, VIP parties, and live music will round out the four-day event. The Vail Film Festival is produced by the Vail Film Institute, a non-profit arts organization that is dedicated to fostering independent cinema and creative filmmaking.

The 2006 Vail Film Festival drew 12,000 attendees from around the world, including more than 250 independent filmmakers and some of Hollywood’s most accomplished professionals.

The festival also integrates the magnificent winter sports location by scheduling afternoon and evening-only programming and offering lift ticket packages to accommodate skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts.
