The Stony Brook Film Festival is dedicated to showing a wide variety of thought-provoking and intriguing films of the highest quality and production values in Independent Cinema over 10 days.  Sponsors include HBO and the Village Voice.  Guests in previous years have included Alan Alda, Steve Buscemi and Tilda Swinton.  

Films screen in a variety of sections and in six competitive categories:
Dramatic Feature, Dramatic Short, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short, Animation Feature and Animation Short.

Submission Guidelines

Films screen in 35mm and all forms of beta.  Shorts can be up to 30 minutes long and features must be at least 30 minutes long.
