Seguin

The 3rd annual Seguin Film & Arts Festival is now accepting short films for this year’s competition to be held at the Palace Theatre in downtown Seguin. The winner of the festival will receive the Golden Pecan award. A student competition will follow on August 17th 2007. Film festival entries must be postmarked by 1st September. Selected feature films will also be incorporated into the festival program.

In addition to the films at the Palace Theatre, artists from the local area will present their work in Central Park and at various downtown venues  . Many artists will also be giving small workshops and demonstrations as an educational opportunity for interested festival-goers.

The independent short film competition for 2007 will include the following categories: Documentary, Foreign Language, Drama, Comedy, Animation, and Horror. The student films are not divided into categories and all compete against each other.
