17th and 18th November 2007

Brighton

SEE Festival was founded in 2005 by David Notman-Watt, film-maker and director of Back2Back TV Productions Limited, an independent production company in Brighton. The basis of the project was that with the South East of England being a thriving centre for documentary film-making there was a need for a festival to reflect this. SEE showcases the enormous richness of this regions talent, uniting a selection of the UK’s most well-respected and talented documentary film-makers to encourage and inspire new work. SEE aims to provide an unprecedented opportunity for knowledge-transfer from professional film-makers and industry pundits to professional and up-and-coming film-makers.

The festival presents an informal, friendly and non-competitive event that aims to celebrate the art of film-making, and embraces creative discussion on the forces behind film-making.

This year the festival counts Nick Broomfield as its patron, and directors such as Luke Holland, Marc Isaacs and Daisy Asquith will be taking part, as well as special events from Shooting People, FourDocs and DFG.

The event will take place at the The Marlborough Theatre, Brighton.
