The 23rd International Odense Film Festival is an independent short and documentary film festival with both an international and a national competition. It is organized by the City of Odense with financial support from the Danish Film Institute. The festival is designed to screen unusual short fiction films of high quality with an original and imaginative sense of creativity.
The short films and documentaries in the festival programme consists of short features, portrait films, children and youth films, experimental films, and all kinds of animation films. The special programmes focus on a certain filmmaker, a country, a period, a genre or other themes.
Submissions Guidelines
The running time for all short fiction films and documentaries must not exceed 60 minutes. Films must have been made after March 1st 2007 and screening copies must be in 35mm, 16mm or BetaSP.
Films may have been shown previously at other international festivals.
