London International Animation Festival

21st - 26th August 2007

London

With more than 200 short films from 28 countries over 6 days, London International Animation Festival (LIAF) is the UK's largest animation festival in terms of the sheer amount of films screened, many of them British premieres - scooped from the cream of animation festivals around the world.

In 2007, Polish Masters rub shoulders with the cream of contemporary Estonian animation; Digital and Abstract Panoramas make a welcome return; Sublime Hand Painted Classics to Best of Siggraph computer animation; an amazing British Panorama for our sensational local talent, animated documentaries, sessions for Kids, mind-boggingly bizarre animation, special visiting guests who will guide you through their animated worlds, a huge exhibition of 120 puppets and designs from Estonia’s master animators … and everything ties up on the final night with the Best of the Festival where the best films as chosen by our esteemed judges will be announced and screened one last time.

This year sees a dedicated programme of animated docs. For details see right.
