The London Independent Film Festival is dedicated to showcasing new emerging film talent.
The London Independent Film Festival is the premier event for micro-budget and no-budget films in the UK. LIFF offers a fantastic opportunity for indie filmmakers to showcase their achievements, with spaces reserved for first and second time filmmakers and for films that have been overlooked by other events.
LIFF presents the best of low-budget filmmaking from around the world, and mixes it up with relevant industry discussions and targeted social networking events. LIFF's audience is London's sizable independent filmmaking community. It's an indie film festival for indie filmmakers.
Submission Guidelines
The London Independent Film Festival is open to UK as well as international films in one of the following categories:
- Best Micro-budget Feature (under £100k)
- Best No-Budget Feature (under £10k)
- Best UK Feature
- Best Documentary
- Best Sci-Fi / Horror Feature
- Best Female Director Feature
- Best LGBT film
- Best Short Film
- Best UK Short
The festival accepts digital formats and 16mm/35mm. Films which have been broadcast on Television, Cable or have had a theatrical release prior to the LIFF are NOT eligible for any competition but may be screened, out of competition. Non-English language produced films must have English subtitles or be dubbed in English.

Entry Fees: Fees for feature films are £25 early (Nov 15-Dec 31), £30 regular (Jan 1-March 6) £40 late (March 6-21). Discounts are available via Withoutabox.
Fees for short films are £17 early (Nov 15-Dec 31), £20 regular (Jan 1-March 6) £30 late (March 6-21).
