International Critics' Week (part of the Cannes International Film Festival)

Part of the Cannes Film Festival, the Critics' Week has aimed since its debut to discover new directors. The selection presents first and second feature films. Among the directors discovered by the Critics' Week are : Bernardo Bertolucci, Barbet Schroeder, Ken Loach, Wong Kar Waï, Jacques Audiard, Arnaud Desplechin and François Ozon.

Every year, 7 feature films and 7 short films, selected from hundreds of films, compete for the Critics' Week Top Prize. The Critics' Week also organizes special screenings (features and shorts panorama), dedicated to new and original productions.

Director's first and second full-length feature or documentary films, shorts

Requirements:
16mm, 35mm. Shorts must not exceed 14 minutes running time. Entries must have been completed within 12 months prior to the date of the festival.

Awards:

Two cash prizes: Best Feature and Best Short Film
Fees: €100 or $100
