The Huesca International Film Festival screens many new films as
well as holding conferences and a number of competitions. Among
these are the European documentary competition, a short film
competition and an iberoamerican competition.
The Huesca International Film Festival accepts documentaries that
abide by the following rules:
1. The production date must not be earlier than 2005.
2. Those films already inscribed in previous editions of the
Contest will not be accepted.
3. Films must be sent in a DVD, digital Betacam, 35 or 16 mm,
standard copy.
4. Their screening time must not exceed 50 minutes.
The entry form, carefully filled in, must be sent to the
Secretariat of the Contest before 1st March 2006, together with the
copy that the Selection Committee must watch. For this selection
they can be sent in video format: VHS, U-MATIC, BETACAM or DVD, and
they must be sent by mail (with the inscription NO COMMERCIAL
VALUE) or by courier, stating a value of no more than 12
euro.
These videotapes will remain at the Festival film library, in order
to be consulted if necessary.
All entry forms must be sent together with a copy of the film
screenplay, the film synopsis, a minimum of 3 photographs and
informative material about the film, as well as the director's
biography and filmography, specifying the format of his
works.
The participation in the Festival means the authorisation to
broadcast extracts of the film in the Spanish TV channels and
Internet.
The prize for the documentary competition is 6000 Euros
