Helsinki International Film Festival - Love & Anarchy is a
non-competitive film festival held since 1987, yearly in September.
The festival promotes the artistry of filmmaking, the inventive,
visually stunning and controversial new films, revealing the
promising talents of tomorrow.
Love & Anarchy festival is a combination of different strands:
Best of Young European Cinema, Modern Asian Cinema, American
Independents, Contemporary World Cinema, Gay and Lesbian selection,
Fantasy Films, Modern Documentary and Animation. Under the title of
Love & Anarchy the festival harbours also the bizarre, the
strange and the controversial.
Helsinki Film Festival is the biggest and most accessible film
festival in Finland and enjoys a wide media coverage. Helsinki Film
Festival is a member of European Coordination of Film Festivals,
EEIG.
