Festival International du Documentaire

Marseille

6th - 11th July 2006

France's biggest documentary film festival. Showcasing the very best in documentary films from around the world, the festival in Marseille is one of the biggest European events on the documentary filmmaking calendar. Featured films are often followed by informative Q & A sessions with the director allowing industry professionals and the general public a rare opportunity to gain a greater insight into the films. Visitors can also enjoy a little pomp and ceremony as filmmakers sweat it out to see who will be awarded one of the eight prestigious prizes as voted by a panel of industry experts.

In 2006 the festival celebrates its 17th year with three retrospectives of filmmakers: Helmut Bitomsky, Joaquin Jorda & Robert Morin. As well as 20 films in the International Competition, 10 films in the French Competition and 7 Parallel screenings.

Festival Tickets cost (in Euros):
60/40 for the whole festival
35/25 for the weekend
18/15 for 1 day
6/5 per screening
