The fifth Pacific International Documentary Film Festival of Tahiti (FIFO Tahiti) will take place at the ‘Maison de la Culture' (Te Fare Tauhiti Nui) in Papeete, the capital of French Polynesia.
The purpose of the Pacific International Documentary Film Festival of Tahiti (‘FIFO Tahiti’) is to promote the image of the Pacific region to distributors, media and the general public.
This professional and public event is intended to be a meeting place for lovers of the Pacific, and a celebration of its cultural heritage. This vast maritime continent will emerge in images over the four days of the event.
Submission Guidelines
This event is open to all filmmakers who have produced a documentary on the Pacific within the last three years (please also refer to the regulations). The closing date for entries is 1st October 2008 (see entry form).
An international Jury will award the Jury Grand Prize and two special prizes. There will also be an Audience Prize. All the awards include a cash prize.
Feature-length and short documentary films are accepted and should be entered in their original language with English or French sub-titling as appropriate.
There is no charge to enter a film in the Festival.
Producers should supply films for screening in one of the following original formats: Digital Betacam, DVC Pro, DVCam & NTSC, Betacam SP Pal.
