2008 edition:

Britdoc 08 has announced a double theme for the festival, as well as related guests and events.

Comedy – It’s a funny business being serious. We are exploring the link between telling the truth and taking the piss, the difference between laughing and crying, and asking the question: should documentary be serious? We’re just tickled to announce the attendance of Larry Charles (Director of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Borat) who is bringing his new film Religulous. Other highlights include a comedy tent (line-up TBC) and much more.

Music - Documentary will never sound the same again. We are celebrating the craft of brilliant soundtracks. We want to connect musicians and composers to filmmakers, to initiate new artistic collaborations. Our special host of guests include musicians Nitin Sawhney, Michael Nyman, and Jonathan Dove. Other highlights include the renowned "Would Like To Meet..." - a speed dating session for filmmakers and composers. And, of course, more.
