Public festival screening both shorts and features, together with
industry events. It's international remit, according to the
festival website, is as follows:
"Explores the common cultures and
histories of countries situated on the Atlantic Rim including the
Celtic (Ireland, Scotland, England,Wales and Brittany) and Nordic
(Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Denmark and Norway) countries and the
United States."
Submissions may be fiction, documentary, animation or experimental
films of any length. Only films completed no more than 18 months
prior to the festival will be considered and preference will be
given to submissions that have not been distributed theatrically or
broadcast on television in the Atlantic region prior to the 2006
Festival.
There is a $25 entry fee until June 9th, after this date the entry
fee rises to $30 until the second and FINAL deadline of the 30th
June.
Preview formats: 1/2" VHS NTSC or PAL video formats and DVD (region
1) only.
Exhibition formats: 16mm, 35mm, NTSC Betacam SP video or DVD
(region 1). The festival cannot screen PAL or other digital
formats.
