Summary
The annual pitching and seminar event run by the European Documentary Network.
Full description
The annual international documentary film event Documentary in Europe will once again gather both experienced and newcomers in documentary film making to meet, present new projects, discuss the current state of documentary film production and see good documentaries. It all takes place in the great surroundings of Bardonecchia, close to Torino. The deadline for submitting projects is May 16.

The Documentary in Europe programme includes:
  • special focus sessions & master classes
  • a pitching workshop & session
  • match making sessions for new talents
  • great network opportunities
  • screenings of new international documentaries.

The Pitching Forum

Documentary in Europe's pitching session is accepting documentary projects developed for international co-production. 21 projects will be selected to participate.

The participants will be required to attend a 2-day preparation lab 8th - 10th July with the opportunity to develop the documentary project and re-write the presentation under guidance from international tutors.

The pitching of the projects will be on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th in front of an international panel of 10-12 Commissioning Editors. The pitching will be followed by scheduled individual meetings between pitching teams and financiers, for in depth discussions about the documentary projects and possible future collaboration.

Participation fee
First participant with a project: 300 Euro
Second participant: 250 Euro
Observer participating without a project: 250 Euro
