Full description
Following the success of the DOCNZ Pitching Forum in 2006 and 2007, the festival is now accepting submissions for the next Pitching Forum which will be held during the DOCNZ Summit in February 2009.

The DOCNZ Pitching Forum is a significant opportunity for filmmakers to pitch their project to a panel of local and overseas commissioning editors, buyers and other funders.

DOCNZ seeks projects that are challenging and innovative not just in its subject matter, but also its treatment and delivery. The festival is prioritising:
  • One-off documentary projects with international appeal and strong co-production potential
  • Creative and cinematic projects
  • TV and feature – length projects (45 mins and over)
  • Projects that explore cross-platform opportunities
From the submissions, eight to twelve filmmaking teams will be selected. The selected applicants will also attend a Masterclass on Pitching prior to the Pitching Forum.

Deadline for Submissions is 4.00pm, 31 July 2008.
