Synopsis:
A candid, fly-on-the-wall BBC television documentary portrait of
extremist Russian Nationalist politician Vladimir Zhirinovsky, of
the so-called Liberal Democratic Party. The film shows the leader
on a campaign cruiseship surrounded by two hundred supporters, his
buffoonery being almost too pathetic to believe and yet his
proclamations, hyberbolic threats and mad grab for power on the
world stage seeming very real and dangerous. We are left with the
nagging question: to what extent is Zhirinovsky truly dangerous?
