Synopsis:

Journalist Saira Shah returns to Afghanistan after the September 11 attacks on the US, following her earlier documentary on the experience of life in the country under Taliban rule, Beneath the Veil. The filmmakers witness escalating violence and the threat of war, and return to three girls who had featured in the previous film. The girls had witness the death of their mother at the hands of the Taliban and are still greatly traumatised.
