Synopsis:
An award-winning series going behind the scenes at London Zoo, during a crucial period when it has to turn its fortunes around or face closure. With only a two-person crew, the film secures intimate access to the decisions and operations of the troubled organisation, showing both the disparity and the parallels between the animals and the humans who populate it.
A perfect example of filmmaker Dineen's preoccupation with British institutions and what they say about British culture, the series won numerous awards, including the BAFTA for Best Documentary Series.
