Synopsis:
Peace One Day is the brainchild of Jeremy Gilley, a former actor
from London, who in 1999 launched a campaign for an International
Day of Peace. The film follows his attempts to convince heads of
state, aid agencies, victims of war and the United Nations, to
sanction a global ceasefire day. With utter determination and
candour, Gilley documents his campaign. Five years on, the UN
International Day of Peace became a date fixed for 21st September
annually, maybe even proving that one person really can make a
difference.
