Synopsis:
In the spring of 1944 the Allies chanced the whole fate of the
Second World War on a single day. In one steamroller offensive,
over 200,000 troops would land on the coast of France in a
last-ditch effort to reverse the Nazi occupation of Europe. For
D-Day to succeed the Allies needed to have the technological edge
and this required new solutions from extremely unorthodox thinkers.
It was a plan orchestrated by the greatest military minds - but
this extraordinary drama-documentary focuses on the story of those
who toiled behind the scenes in total secret, using reconstruction,
interviews and archive footage.
