Synopsis:
Peter Adam grew up in Hitler's Germany and now, in this
documentary, he explores the officially sanctioned artwork of the
Third Reich, and which has not been seen by the public since the
1940s. It reveals how all of the nation's arts, including painting,
film, and especially architecture, which Hitler saw as the ultimate
tool to express absolute political power, were methodically
manipulated by the regime into tools of Nazi propaganda. The film
received a BAFTA for Best Arts Programme.
