Synopsis:

A contemplative look at the life of a man living in a makeshift hut on the riverside in Tokyo. Akira asserts he has chosen a life that is better than one within Japan’s highly structured and pressurised society, because it is free from responsibility. But is he closer to a knife-edge than he lets show?
