Synopsis:

Pugilists follows Tom Spring's energetic life. A 19th century bare-knuckle fighter from Herefordshire, he is remembered for his bloody 77 round bare-knuckle fight at Worcester in front of 40,000 people, which made him Champion of All England.
The film goes on to explore the progression of boxing through the lives of three modern Herefordshire men, who together cover three generations of boxing.
