Synopsis:

no image
Sean Sellars was only 16-years-old when he murdered a shopkeeper for no apparent reason in 1986. Six months later he shot his mother and stepfather in the head whilst they slept. He was imprisoned for thirteen years before his execution in 1999. Dead Kid Walking was made over the weeks preceeding Sellars' execution, including interviews with Sellars talking about the killings. It also explores the impact the case had in the US due to Sellar's age as well as looking at the issues involved with the death penalty and juvenile justice.
