Synopsis:

Things, Places, Years recognises the past as part of  the present, as part of our identities. It shows  shows how the Holocaust affects the present, those generations that lived through Nazi Germany as well as the influence it still has on subsequent generations. The documentary shows interviews with three different generations of Jewish women who talk about their experiences during and after the Holocaust. All three of them, grandmother, mother and daughter, show the deep influence that this horrible period in history has had on them.
