Synopsis:

Battle of Orgreave Battle of Orgreave
This film follows the project by conceptual artist Jeremy Deller to recreate the climactic battle between miners and police in the 1984 miners' strike.

Structured around the preparation for the re-enactment and the re-enactment itself, the film also uses archive footage from the actual clash to probe the story of what happened that day, nearly 20 years on. Miners who were involved in the strike returned to take part in the re-enactment, and they reflect on the events of that time and the intervening years.
