Synopsis:
One in two marriages fail, yet most people still dream of finding a
partner for life. Top psychologist Oliver James, about to get
married himself, journeys deep into the heart of a paradox which
affects us all in an attempt to discover whether he's making the
right choice in forsaking the chance to enjoy a life of multiple
partners. Along the way he meets Jonathan Ross who describes how
he's kept his marriage together, Margaret Cook who explains why men
are more likely to be unfaithful than women and Ulrika Jonsson, who
talks about the influence her parents divorce has had on her
relationships. Oliver also quizzes members of the public on their
attitudes to infidelity. Is a long and happy marriage still a
realistic option or simply the stuff of dreams?
