Synopsis:

An educational film designed to pep up French teaching in school, La Famille Martin, along with Kay Mander's other two films of this kind, was praised at the time for its entertainment value despite its educational nature. Filmed in Paris using French actors, we see Monsieur Martin going to the airport to meet his daughter. Their drive home allows us to see some of the most evocative parts of the city. A film for the Ministry of Education, it was the first film about language.
