Neiland, Lucy  person After graduating with a degree in Social Anthropology from Sussex University in 1999, Lucy went to India and made her first film for the PhD research of an LSE Anthropologist. Seeking a little more independence she did a Masters degree in Visual Anthropology at the Granada Centre in Manchester where she completed her second film "We're from Yoakum, Texas". Following successful screenings of this project she directed a self financed film, "Dreamland Motel" which was subsequently picked up and screened by Channel 4, DFG and Dochouse in London. She followed this with two short films commissioned by Channel Four, before her desire for independence led her to self-finance and make "Lakenheath". This was shown on ITV Anglia in November 04 and at the Sheffield International Documentary film festival. She works in partnership with the filmmaker Laurence Lily.
