Billingsley, Dodge  person Dodge Billingsley founded Combat Films in 1997 and since then has covered conflicts around the world including: United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, the Republic of Georgia, Uzbekistan, Russia, Turkey, Bosnia, and China. Pakistan, and Afghanistan.

His recent work has taken him to Afghanistan where he was filming the prisoner uprising at Qala Jangi and, on his return, in the company of US forces for Operation Anaconda where he followed the soldiers and 'marched into contact' with enemy positions recording the fight between the US and Taliban forces. He has also been filming in Ukraine for PBS and is developing a film focused on the former Soviet Union.

Dodge gained a BA in history from Columbia University followed by an MA in London. He is an experienced lecturer and is also a recipient of the MacArthur Foundation Regional Security Travel grant and has written extensively for various defence and security journals. With freelance cameraman Damien Degueldre, he was the winner of The Rory Peck Award for Features 2002 for the documentary House of War.

Blair, Jon  person Brought up in South Africa, Blair is perhaps best known in the UK as co-creator of the iconic series Spitting Image. As a current affairs producer/director, Blair has covered domestic and foreign stories including the first program for British television about the Soweto uprising.

He then set up his own production company in 1987 and has since won a BAFTA for his film Schindler (narrated by Dirk Bogarde), and an Academy Award for Best Documentary for Anne Frank Remembered. He is also an author, playwright, theatre director and producer, whose work consistently focuses on the struggle for social justice.

Bloomstein, Rex  person Bloomstein was brought up in a working class family in East London, and decided he wanted to become a documentary filmmaker after the influential Seven-Up. He trained at ATV and the BBC before becoming an independent filmmaker in 1970. Films such as his series Lifers and the 2003 follow-up Lifer - Living with Murder, talking to prisoners serving life sentences, and his latest film KZ, about the people living and working in the towns that used to house Nazi concentration camps, reveal the preoccupations in his work.
