Penny Woolcock's first film When The Dog Bites (1988) was an
innovative documentary with scripted inserts. Her other
documentaries include Shakespeare on the Estate, The Wet House and
The Five of Us. She moved into television drama with Macbeth on the
Estate (BBC) and then Tina Goes Shopping and Tina on the Estate
(C4). She made her feature film debuts with The Death of
Klinghoffer based on the John Adams opera and The Principles of
Lust. Her most recent film is Mischief Night, a feature that
completes the Tina trilogy.
