Jon Blair

Brought up in South Africa, Blair is perhaps best known in the UK as co-creator of the iconic series Spitting Image. As a current affairs producer/director, Blair has covered domestic and foreign stories including the first program for British television about the Soweto uprising.

He then set up his own production company in 1987 and has since won a BAFTA for his film Schindler (narrated by Dirk Bogarde), and an Academy Award for Best Documentary for Anne Frank Remembered. He is also an author, playwright, theatre director and producer, whose work consistently focuses on the struggle for social justice.
